The Company is the longest established independent Trim Shop in the country. It was formed by Robert Taylor Snr, who managed the trimming department at Duple´s Coachworks before starting on his own, some 40 years ago.
We can still re-trim a vehicle the same day (seats only i.e. Paramount Premiere Van Hool). More detailed refurbishments, where side-waist trims & roof lining materials are replaced, obviously take a little longer.
Blackpool Trim Shops Ltd is now safely in the hands of Robert Taylor Jnr, who continues to give the Company that Personal Touch, helping & advising each customer personally.
Depending on the number of seats and the material used, this exercise costs between £1,500 for seats and £4,000 - £5,000 for racks, side waisters, rack inserts and all interior trim inluding full floor.
Details
For the money, odd cushions that have been totally destroyed are replaced, usually by cannibalising old sets of stock seating. Broken or cracked frames will be welded. Providing the replacement and repair is not too excessive, no additional money would be sought.
